dwarf planets are planets that are not counted as planets because they are so small.
there a three dwarf planets that have been discorved: ceres, pluto and 2003 ub.

At 2,320 km in diameter, Pluto is considerably bigger than Ceres, but not quite as big as Eris.

Ceres was previously well known as being the largest asteroid in the asteroid belt.
