what is a lunar eclipse?

A lunar eclipes is when the earth is between the sun and the moon, we can see a full moon.

Sometimes we can see the earth cast its shadow on the moon.

Lunar eclipses happen every 2 years, this is because the moons orbit is slightliy tilted to the earths orbit

if the earth and the moons orbit was the same there would be a eclipse everyday.

a lunar eclipse lasts for 1 hour

what is a solar eclipse?

A solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the light from the sun.

It makes a shadow on an area of the earth.

this is a total eclipse. You can only see this from a limited part of the earth

It last no more than 7 minutes
