The motion of the earth around the sun, showing how the northen hemisphere is titled towards the sun on one side of the orbit, and away from the sun on the other side of the orbit.

Why do we have seasons?

we have seasons because the earth is titled (wonky) as it makes its yearly journey around the sun.

When the northern hemisphere is pointing towards the sun it is summer in the UK

When the northern hemispheren is pointing away from the sun it is winter in the UK
