Group 5 Exoplanets And Aliens

Exoplanets:
Exoplanets, or extrasolar planets, are planets which are outside the solar system. A total of 778 of these have been identified (as of June 8th, 2012). The first confirmed discovery of one came in 1992 with the discovery of several terrestrial-mass orbiting the pulsar PSR B1257+12. (A pulsar is a highly magnetized rotating neutron star. Pulsar PSR B1257+12 is a pulsar which is 1000 light years away from the Sun.) The first confirmed discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a main-sequence star (a main sequence is a group of continuous and distinctive stars) happened in 1995.

Aliens:
Aliens are space monsters which some people believe live on other planets in space. Everybody has a slightly different idea of what an alien would look like, however, scientists have little evidence to show that they actually exist. People create aliens in science-fiction stories and films like ET, the Thing, War of the Worlds, Monsters vs Aliens etc.
